Andover High Street Bookings
Local community groups, commercial operators and event organisers can now book parts of Andover’s High Street for their events, including areas of the Lower High Street & Time Ring.
Thursdays and Saturdays are reserved for the regular High Street market but on other days of the week the High Street could be available for that special event.
Costs vary and there are private/commercial rates as well as a concessionary rate for registered charities.
(Booking fees will not appear on the booking form when making a request)

About The Booking Process
The scale of your event will determine how much detail we need you to provide as part of the booking process. In order to allow time to address any questions or requirements, we recommend that your initial application is made AT LEAST 12 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE PREFFERED DATE FOR YOUR EVENT. This also allows adequate time for you to plan and promote your event.
To make an initial application you will need to provide:
1. Your contact information
2. The name of your event and a short description.
3. Your preferred date and time.
4. Your preferred location.
5. A checklist of activities your event will include.
6. Expected attendance number (at any one time)
7. Agreement to the terms and conditions of hire
8. A copy of your Public Liability Insurance Certificate (this is required for all event bookings)
Once your initial application has been received, you will be receive an email to confirm or refuse the booking, or request additional information from you, depending on the nature and scale of your event.
Additional documentation may include (but is not limited to):
a. Event management plan
b. Risk assessments
c. Licensing documents
d. Supplier / contractors insurances & risk assessments
e. Fire risk assessments
f. Details of concessions & entertainment
g. Site plans
A deadline for submitting any required information will be provided. If the requested information is not received within the required period you may not receive permission for the event.
It is advisable not to advertise your event until you receive formal confirmation that your event booking is approved.
Should your plans deviate from the information submitted you must inform the Council as soon as possible. Failure to do so may impact your future event applications.
Test Valley Borough Council reserve the right to refuse or withdraw any application where insufficient information is submitted and where the impact on the site or people using it or local residents is deemed to be significant.
